Car Burlgarized In 1000 Block Of Warren Avenue

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Several tools were stolen when a car was burglarized in Downers Grove on March 7.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Warren Avenue for a report of a burglary. The car's owner told police he parked the vehicle in a lot around 7 p.m. and then went home. He told police he had left the car unlocked.

When he got back to the car around 6 a.m. the following day, he found that the following items had been stolen:

  • Dewalt 60-volt cordless saw, valued at $700
  • Makita rotary hammer, valued at $100
  • Two Makita auto-fed screwdrivers, valued at $75 apiece
  • Two Makita drills, valued at $100 each
  • Makita angle grinder, valued at $150
