Car Stolen From Hotel Parking Lot In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from the parking lot of a hotel in Downers Grove in late April, according to police.

Officers were called to the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel at 2111 Butterfield Rd. around 5:30 a.m. on April 30 to investigate a reported car theft.

The car's owner told police they had parked the car in the hotel's north lot and locked it before it was stolen. Police say hotel surveillance footage show the car being driven out of the lot, and then driving east down Butterfield Road.

The car, valued at $40,000, also contained a golf bag with clubs, valued at $2,000, per a police report.
