Copper Cables Stolen From Construction Area At Kingsley School
Police say thousands of dollars worth of copper cables were reported missing from the site at 6509 Powell St.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Copper cables were stolen from a construction area at Kingsley School in Downers Grove, according to the village's most recent crime blotter. Police say the roughly 200 ft. of copper wire had extended from a generator into Kingsley School.
According to police, the person who reported the theft said it took place overnight, sometime between June 20 and June 21.
It's estimated 20 cables were stolen, each of which is estimated to be worth $300. Police say the total esitmated loss is $6,000.
