Cubs Draft Downers Grove South Alum Noah Edders

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Chicago Cubs drafted Downers Grove South (DGS) alumnus Noah Edders in the 15th round of Major League Baseball (MLB) draft picks. Edders, who graduated in 2021, was a standout pitcher during his time at DGS, where he boasted an earned run average of 1.12.

Following his time at DGS, Edders attended Bradley University, where he struck out 10 batters in eight innings during a game against the Omaha Mavericks. In April of 2024, Edders struck out the 100th batter of his career to lead the Bradley Braves to victory against the Belmont Bruins.

Edders finished his college baseball career at Troy University, striking out 67 batters in 65 innings. According to MLB, Edders has appeared in four MLB Draft League games, during which he allowed zero runs.
