The Downers Grove South High School wrestling team has received a $250 sponsorship from the Illinois Pork Producers Association for the second year in a row.
The sponsorship goes toward the purchase of pork for their well-attended fundraiser, Pork, Pig Skins and “Pins” to be held from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at Downers Grove South High School, 1436 Norfolk St.

The Illinois Pork Producers provides funds to support local school related clubs or organizations as an opportunity to promote pork, while also reminding local residents of the importance of the pork industry to the economy.
The Illinois pork industry contributes $1.8 billion to the state economy and provides more than 10,500 jobs. Illinois pig farmers care for their pigs, the environment and their local community.
