Downers Grove Police Arrest 3 Adults, 1 Teen for Mob Action
Three adults and one juvenile will be tried.
Three adults and one teenager were arrested and charged with mob action within the past week, Downers Grove police announced.
Police Chief Kurt Bluder said in a release that the four were arrested in connection with a physical fight that broke out at 4435 Oakwood Ave. on Jan. 31. Officers had responded to the home around 8 p.m. that day after receiving reports of gunshots at the residence. By the time they got there, the suspects were gone.
After investigation, Bluder said his team learned that three people had gone to the house to "settle a dispute with a resident" when things had gotten physical. Another group of people — friends of the house's resident — drove to the home and one of them reportedly fired a gun from a car multiple times to break up the fight.
