DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Superintendent Dr. Kevin Russell was recently honored as a superintendent of distinction by the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA). Dr. Russell, who helms Downers Grove Grade School District 58, was among just 21 superintendents chosen by their peers to receive the honor.

Russell's selection was announced in February. He and the other Superintendent of Distinction honorees were recognized at a ceremony in Springfield on May 16.

“I’m very grateful to work alongside so many talented superintendents in DuPage County and am thankful every day to work with such a committed group of families, staff, students and Board of Education," Russell said in a statement.
