Items Stolen From Dick's Sporting Goods; Car Burglarized: DG Blotter

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Items were stolen from Dick's Sporting goods, a car was burglarized in a lot on Pipers Way and other incidents were reported on the most recent Downers Grove crime blotter.
Car Burglarized on Pipers Way
Police were called to the 7400 block of Pipers Way around 10 a.m. on March 16 for a report of a vehicle burglary. The owner told police they left their van window down and someone reached in and grabbed a black satchel that contained their identification cards.

Items Stolen from Dick's Sporting Goods
On March 19, a retail theft was reported at the Dick's Sporting Goods at 1434 Butterfield Rd. Police say a person or persons went into an open cabinet and stole Taylor Made driver heads that were valued at a total of $3,000.

Counterfeit Bill Presented at Good Samaritan Hospital
Employees at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital told police they found a counterfeit $20 bill while they were counting cash that was collected at the onsite coffee shop on March 15.
