Jeff's Bagel Run Set To Open 1st IL Store In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Jeff's Bagel Run is gearing up to open its flagship Illinois store in Downers Grove. The Florida-based bagel shop offers up more than a dozen types of scratch-made bagels, an array of inventive spreads, coffee and other on-the-go treats.

The Downers Grove store will be located at 1105 Ogden Ave. and will offer the full Jeff's Bagel Run menu, with orders available in-person or via the company's app.

The selection of boiled bagels includes traditional favorites like onion or sesame, along with more creative options like cacio e pepe and rosemary salt. Jeff's Bagel Run features a range of sweet spread options, such as cake batter, cannoli and cookies and cream. Savory options include roasted jalapeno, whipped butter and hot sauce. Vegan options are available.

Jeff's Bagel Run got its start in 2019 and began gaining momentum locally in Florida during the coronavirus pandemic, when co-founder Jeff Perera began making "bagel runs" to deliver his creations to neighbors and other community members.

As of 2025, there are more than 30 Jeff's Bagel Run locations throughout the United States.

The Downers Grove location will host its grand opening Aug. 1 and the company is planning a week full of giveaways, activations and more.
