Man Accused Of Breaking Into Home, Stealing Car In Westmont
Police say Bryce Fleming, 23, was able to open the window of a door, unlock the door and get into the home Monday night.

WESTMONT, IL — Police say a man broke into a home in Westmont Monday night, stealing valuables, personal items and a car.
Bryce Fleming, 23, was charged with residential burglary and possession of a stolen motor vehicle in connection with the incident.
Police were called to a home on Naperville Road around 11:48 p.m. for a reported disturbance. The resident told police she had heard sounds coming from her kitchen, adding that she discovered the back door had been opened, her purse had been rifled through, and her car had been stolen.

Fleming is accused of opening a window to unlock the back door, and then rummaging through the woman's purse to steal her debit and credit cards once he entered the home. He is further accused of taking her keys from the living room and using them to open her garage and drive off in her 2022 Hyundai Tucson.
Fleming was pulled over a short time later in Hinsdale and taken into custody.

“My office takes the behavior alleged in this case extremely seriously,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.
He added, “Violating the safety and security that a home provides to us all can not only have a devastating effect on the victim but can also have a crippling effect on the entire community as residents worry that they may be next."
Fleming is being held in DuPage County Jail, with an arraignment scheduled for April 22.
