Man Convicted In 1989 Sex Assault Took Pics Of Boys At Pool: Cops
Farrell Theis, 61, was convicted in the 1989 sex assault of a DuPage County boy, 11. Theis is accused of photographing boys in Inwood.

JOLIET, IL — A former Westmont man, who pleaded guilty in 1989 to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy, has been accused of taking pictures of young boys who used the swimming pool at Inwood Recreation Center in Joliet. Farrell Theis, 61, was arrested and then released, per a news release from the Joliet Police Department.
Police had been alerted to a "suspicious incident" in early February at a Joliet Park District facility at 3000 W Jefferson St. According to police, a man, whom they say was later identified as Theis, had been suspected of using his phone to take photos of underage teen boys who were in the pool at Inwood Athletic Club.
Theis, who worked with a vending agency that contracted with the facility, was identified as a suspect after an investigation.
