Shooting In Western Suburb Leaves Man, 24, Dead
The fatal shooting took place in the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive Saturday night.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A 24-year-old man is dead after a shooting that took place in Downers Grove Saturday night.
Police were called to the 2100 block of Prentiss Drive just before 7 p.m. for a report that someone had been shot. According to police, an altercation took place in which “several gunshots were fired.”
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police say there is not threat to the public and the people involved in the shooting knew each other.
