'Don't Kill The Kids': Manhunt Leads To Arrest In Slaying Of Woman, 10-Year-Old Girl
Jalonie Jenkins was wanted in connection with the deaths of 21-year-old Janiya Jenkins and 10-year-old Eyani Jones, authorities said.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Jalonie Jenkins, the man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbings of a 21-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl last week in Streamwood, was taken into custody late Sunday night in Downers Grove, about four days after the search to find him began, according to authorities.
Police warned the public Thursday to be on the lookout for Jalonie Jenkins after emergency personnel were dispatched Wednesday night to the 1600 block of McKool Avenue in the Woodland Heights East subdivision for a reported stabbing and found Janiya Jenkins, 21, and Eyani Jones, 10, dead in the home.
Bensenville police discovered a suspect vehicle late Wednesday night in Redmond Park before the search for Jalonie Jenkins was announced the following day, authorities said.

A neighbor in Streamwood told FOX 32 last week that her daughter was best friends with Eyani Jones and had been on the phone with the girl around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when she heard yelling and Janiya Jenkins say, “Don’t kill the kids.”
Two surviving children came to the neighbor seeking help and the neighbor went to their home and found a bloody scene on the second floor, FOX 32 reported.
