McAlister's Brings Its Beloved Sandwiches, Soups To Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — McAlister's Deli is opening its first Downers Grove location, offering residents a chance to indulge in the chain's sandwiches, soups, chopped salads, loaded baked potatoes and more.

The deli will host a grand opening on July 8 and a special event for first responders, service members, educators and more on July 5.

McAlister's menu focuses heavily on deli sandwiches, offering a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches. Diners can opt for a chicken bacon ranch flatbread, dig into a Cuban sandwich, nosh on a French dip or savor a club sandwich in several different varieties.

Wraps, melts and veggie options are also available.

The menu also features salads and soups, which can be combined with sandwiches for a discounted combo meal. Potato lovers may appreciate the deli's selection of baked potatoes, oversized spuds that can come topped with black angus roast beef, fresh veggies and other fixings.

Top it all off with one of McAlister's signature iced teas, a lemonade or one of the deli's dessert options.

The Downers Grove location, situated at 933 Ogden Ave., is among more than 500 franchise McAlister's Deli restaurants throughout the United States that are part of the Georgia-based chain, founded in 1989.

Stop by the restaurant on July 5 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. for an appreciation day that gives health care workers, truck drivers, first responders, PTO members and active members of the military a chance to get a free meal with a valid identification/badge.

“We're thrilled to be opening the first McAlister's Deli in Downers Grove, and can't wait to share our delicious food and genuine hospitality with the larger community in the area,” franchisee Ravi Patel said in a statement.

McAlister's Deli will be open every day from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
