Bookology... it's the science of good books, making Downers Grove Public Library staff experts in the field, or bookologists.

Erin is a librarian and a school liaison in the Children's Services Department. She's more commonly known by her storytime followers as Miss Erin. She enjoys reading true crime, young adult, graphic novels, and of course, kids picture books.

Miss Erin loves being a librarian because she gets to give kids their favorite books and introduce them to something new.
Erin was always that girl who would rather have a book than a Barbie and who would finish the summer reading program in the first week. She's also that girl who got in trouble for tricking someone into buying her a Babysitters Club book after her mom thought it was a little too old for her(Erin elaborates, "I was in first grade. Sorry Mom!").
Erin's reading habits come in waves — one month she wants only nonfiction, the next month it's all young adult fantasy. Most recently she started listening to podcasts ("Someone please talk to me about Serial or Welcome to Night Vale!!")
Some of Bookologist Erin's recommendations include "Adulting: How to Become a Grown-Up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps" by Kelly Williams Brown and "Geek Girls Unite: How Fangirls, Bookworms, Indie Chicks, and Other Misfits are Taking Over the World."
A display in the first floor lobby also includes her favorite picture books for kids, like "Lost and Found" by Oliver Jeffers and "Go Away, Big Green Monster!" by Ed Emberley. Go take a look.
