Memorial Day Events To Honor Fallen Service Members In Naperville
Naperville has planned a Memorial Day Parade and several other observanaces for May 26.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville residents can honor fallen service members during a Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony set for May 26. The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m., but the day's observances also include visits to Commander Dan Shanower Memorial, Veterans Park, St. Peter and Paul Cemetery and Naperville Cemetery.
The schedule of events is as follows:
7:45 a.m.: Gathering at Commander Dan Shanower Memorial

8:15 a.m.: Gathering at G.A.R. Memorial in Naperville Cemetery
9 a.m.: Gathering at Veterans Park

9:25 a.m.: Gathering at Burlington Square
10:30 a.m.: Riverwalk Ceremony and Memorial Day Parade
12 p.m.: Memorial Day Ceremony at Central Park
3 p.m.: National Moment of Remembrance; residents can observe one minute of silence wherever they are
The Memorial Day Parade will begin at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and West Street and make its way east before turning north on Washington Street. The parade will then head east on Benton Avenue before coming to a close on Court Place near the southeast corner of Central Park.
