Oh, Baby: Meet Some of the First Babies Born in 2016

Advocate Healthcare hospitals were busy on New Year’s Day delivering some of the first babies born in 2016 in Chicagoland.

Winning the 2016 New Year’s baby derby was Jaylanie Rodriguez, who entered the world at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1. Jayline was the first baby to be born in 2016 in the Chicagoland area.

Not to be outdone in the cuteness and first department:

• Emily Louis, first baby born in 2016 at Advocate Good Samaritan, Downers Grove.
• Jaxson Lee, born at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, at 6:31 a.m. Jan. 1.
• Aitana Michelle, first baby born in 2016 at Advocate Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
• Lareen Haytham, first baby born in 2016 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn.
