Sandack is a 'Caring Public Servant': House Republican Leader

Ron Sandack abruptly resigned July 24 from his state representative position.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Ron Sandack, the now-former state representative of Downers Grove, surprised constituents and fellow politicians Sunday evening when he announced his immediate resignation.

Sandack could not be reached Monday for comment, but his original statement cited cyber security issues and his role as a father and a husband as reasons for his abrupt departure.

“Ron Sandack is a dedicated and caring public servant." said House Republican Leader Jim Durkin in a statement Monday. "I want to thank him for his service to his constituents and the entire State of Illinois. I wish him well in his future endeavors."
