Share Handmade Ornaments Ahead Of 2025 Tree Lighting In Downers Grove
Downers Grove is looking for handmade ornaments to adorn its Christmas tree before the annual tree lighting on Nov. 28.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove is asking residents to send in their handmade ornaments to adorn the village's 2025 Christmas tree ahead of the tree-lighting ceremony, which is set for Nov. 28 at the Main Street Station.
Here are the requirements for the ornaments:
- Loop 10- to 12-inch twine or swing onto ornament
- Made of material that is weatherproof
- No heavy, sharp or pointy ornaments
Ornaments must be dropped off, along with this form, at Downers Grove Public Works, 5101 Walnut Ave. by Nov. 14. Residents should be aware that no ornaments will be returned.
