UPDATE: DG Library Reopens After Police Search Suspicious Package
The package was found to be non-hazardous.

Downers Grove police completed their search of the library building and of a suspicious package on the second floor, as of 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad determined the package was not dangerous, according to the Village of Downers Grove.
The library is now open, a library spokesperson confirmed.

The Downers Grove Public Library was evacuated Wednesday while police investigate a suspicious package, according to a library spokesperson.
The library is closed until further notice.
Downers Grove police were not immediately able to be reached for comment.
