Village Council To Consider 20-Unit Apartment Building On Warren Ave.
The four-story development's zoning request was unanimously recommended by the Downers Grove Planning and Zoning Commission.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A zoning proposal to accommodate a four-story apartment building at the intersection of Warren and Washington will get its first reading at the Downers Grove Village Council meeting Tuesday. The proposed development's zoning map amendment was unanimously recommended by the village's planning and zoning commission in early February.
Petitioners are requesting a zoning map amendment that would redesignate 826 Warren Ave. as DB, or downtown business zoning. Currently, the location is designated as DT, or downtown transition zoning. A special use permit is also being requested for the apartments, per village code.
The proposed development would offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for rent. A parking garage would occupy the building's first floor, and additional parking spaces would occupy the lot's north end.
