Wallet Stolen From Shopper At TJ Maxx In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A wallet was stolen from a shopper at the TJ Maxx in Downers Grove, according to the village's most recent crime blotter. The incident took place May 6.

Police were called to the store at 7349 Lemont Rd. around 6 p.m. for a report of a theft.

The shopper told officers that her wallet had been in her purse, which was in her shopping cart, when she was approached by a woman. Police say the woman asked her questions and "followed the victim around some."

Later, the shopper realized her Michael Kors wallet was missing. She told police the wallet contained cash, an ID and a credit card.
