Wicked West Fest Brings Frightful Fun To Westmont
Westmont's annual Halloween festival will offer fun fall-themed activities throughout the month of October.
WESTMONT, IL — Wicked West Fest is set to kick off in October, bringing scarecrow making, jack-o'-lantern painting, a casket race and more to Westmont.
Here's a list of some of the activities planned for Wicked West Fest 2024.
Scarecrow Decorating Competition

Participants have until Sept. 27 to enter the Scarecrow Decorating Contest. The decorated scarecrows will be set up in downtown Westmont, with voting available online. Competitors can sign up via the village's chamber of commerce.

Oct. 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Gregg House Museum, 115 S. Linden, Westmont
Visitors can enjoy a hayride, pan for gold, decorate pumpkins and make a scarecrow at The Last Straw. Scarecrow-making will be offered by The Garden Club of Downers Grove and includes a wooden stand, straw and a pillowcase for $10. Participants are encouraged to bring clothes for their scarecrow.
Watercolor Jack-o'-Lantern Mushroom Painting
Oct. 15 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Westmont Public Library, 428 N. Cass, Westmont
A local artist will be on hand to help participants paint jack-o'-lantern mushrooms. Registration includes all necessary materials. Click the link to register for Watercolor Jack-o'-Lantern Mushroom Painting. Adults only.
Caskets on Cass
Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
Downtown Westmont
Residents and groups can make their own caskets to race for glory down Cass Avenue. Registration is available via the Westmont Chamber of Commerce.
Stranger Things Bingo
Oct. 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Vampire Murder Mystery Game
