Woman Fell Before Hit-And-Run Crash; Driver Cooperating: DGPD
Police say a 74-year-old woman has been cooperating with police as they investigate the hit-and-run crash that killed Robin Robinson, 65.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police continue to investigate a hit-and-run crash that killed Robin Robinson, 65, of Downers Grove who was hit after she fell crossing Ogden Avenue. A 74-year-old woman, who is believed to be the driver in the crash, was working with investigators, but no updates were available as of Wednesday morning, per Deputy Chief of Special Services James McGreal.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Ogden Avenue around 9:10 p.m. after a woman, later identified as Robinson, was found dead.
Police reviewed surveillance footage and report that Robinson had fallen shortly before she was hit by a late-model Acura RDX. The car was identified using parts that investigators found in the road.

According to police, they used evidence and public records to locate the driver, who is being cooperative with investigators.
DuPage County Coroner Dr. Richard Jorgensen told Patch Wednesday that Robinson's cause and manner of death had not yet been determined.
