Woman Killed In Pedestrian-Car Crash In Downers Grove
Police say the fatal crash took place around 9:40 p.m. Monday.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A woman was killed in a pedestrian-car crash in Downers Grove Monday night.
Emergency responders were called to the 2300 block of Ogden Avenue around 9:40 p.m. for a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. They say the driver remained at the scene of the crash.
Police say preliminary findings show the woman was crossing Ogden Avenue when she was hit by a car that was heading east on Ogden.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
The Downers Grove Police Department and DuPage County M.E.R.I.T. team are working to reconstruct and investigate the crash. Anyone with information may call the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5600.
