Woodridge Police Reports: Car Burglary, Theft, Property Damage

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through Aug. 5.

A criminal damage to property occurred between 7 p.m. July 29 and 4 p.m. July 30 in the 3400 block of 83rd Street. Someone used an instrument, possibly a screwdriver to pry a screen off a window of a residence. Pry marks were also observed around another window, but the screen on that window was not removed or damaged. Entry to the residence was not made.

At approximately 9:22 p.m. July 30, Isaiah Douglas, 20 of the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue, was charged with violation of bail bond and resisting a police officer following the investigation of a suspicious vehicle in the 7700 block of Woodward Avenue.

A theft occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. July 31 at McDonalds, 2401 63rd Street. Someone stole $40 from a wallet that had been left on the front counter by a customer.

A criminal trespass to vehicle occurred at approximately 6:14 a.m. July 31 in the 2800 block of Jackson Street. Suspects entered a parked car. The car's owner reported nothing was missing from the car. The same suspects tried to get into another car parked by the first one, but they were unsuccessful because the car was locked. The incident was caught on a home security camera.

A burglary from motor vehicle occurred between 5 p.m. July 31 and 7:40 a.m. Aug. 1 in the 3300 block of Hillside Court. Someone entered an unlocked car and stole spare change and a pair of sunglasses.

A burglary from motor vehicle occurred between 12:01 and 6 a.m. Aug. 1 in the 3300 block of Hillside Court. Someone entered an unlocked car and stole a wallet, a laptop computer and miscellaneous spare change.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred overnight, July 31 to Aug. 1 in the 2700 Mitchell Drive. Someone scratched the trunk area of a parked vehicle.

A burglary from motor vehicle occurred overnight Aug. 1 in the 6600 block of Oak Tree Trail. Someone entered an unlocked car and stole an iPod.

A criminal damage to vehicle occurred between 4:30 and 4:49 p.m. Aug. 2 in the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of W. 75th Street. Someone scratched the rear driver's side quarter panel of a parked vehicle.

A criminal damage to property occurred between noon July 31 and noon Aug. 2 in the 7900 block of Woodlyn Drive. Someone used a sharp object to repeatedly scratch the letter “X” into the walls of a common area of an apartment building.

A theft of vehicle occurred between 6:30 and 10 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 5900 block of Perry Drive. Someone stole a car that had been parked, unlocked, in a driveway.
