Woodridge Police Reports: Christmas Light Theft, Disorderly Conduct, DUI

The Woodridge Police Department reported crimes and arrests through Dec. 11.

A theft occurred at approximately 9:35 p.m. Dec. 5 in the 1000 block of Davey Road. Someone removed cash from an unattended purse.

At approximately 1:06 p.m. Dec. 5, Jake Czyz, 21 of the 3100 block of Grandview Place in Darien, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident following the investigation of a damaged vehicle in the 2700 block of 63rd Street.

At approximately 8:57 p.m. Dec. 5, David Laverde, 21 of the 3700 block of W. 69th Place in Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and illegal transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop on Hobson Road at Prentice Drive.

At approximately 3:59 a.m. Dec. 6, Mark Runkel, 48 of the 1500 block of Heatherton Court in Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Walnut Avenue at 63rd Street.

At approximately 9:36 a.m. Dec. 6, Franklin Delorenzo, 26 of the 5300 block of S. 73rd Street in Summit, was charged with disorderly conduct following the investigation of an incident at Sam’s Club, 7300 Woodward Ave.

A criminal damage to property occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:07 p.m. Dec. 6 in the 6900 block of Martin Drive. Someone damaged a white plastic lattice fence.

At approximately 5:31 p.m. Dec. 6, Brian Lawlor, 55 of the 2700 block of Davos Avenue in Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following the investigation of a traffic accident in the 2600 block of Forrest Glen Parkway.

A theft occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 6:57 p.m. Dec. 8 in the 7900 block of Chesterton Court. Someone removed decorative Christmas lights from the front of a house.
