Carpentersville Woman Charged After Lost Boy Found On Chicago Beach
The 28-year-old woman is accused of leaving the toddler unattended and endangering his life, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO, IL — A Carptenersville woman faces charges stemming from a lost toddler who was found by Chicago police over the weekend on the Far South Side's Rainbow Beach. Shadonna J. McFadden, 28, of the first block of Oxford Drive, was charged with misdemeanor child endangerment, and her next court date is June 27, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Chicago police did not identify McFadden's connection to the 2- or 3-year-old child who was discovered without a shirt at around 9:50 p.m. Sunday, June 11, in the 2800 block of East 75th Street. The boy was reunited with his family Monday morning.

Police accuse McFadden of creating the situation that endangered his health and life, the Tribune reports. According to police, she allegedly left the child unattended, the report added.
