Driver Injured, Showed 'Signs Of Hypothermia' After Rollover Crash Into Creek: Officials
The collision happened in the 9N600 block of Kendall Road on Thursday morning.
KANE COUNTY, IL — The driver in a single-vehicle rollover crash into a creek "showed signs of hypothermia" after being rescued Thursday morning by emergency responders.
Emergency personnel with the Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District responded to the 9N600 block of Kendall Road at about 9:10 a.m. after receiving a report of a vehicle leaving a driveway and overturning into a creek, according to a news release from the fire protection district.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle upside down and partially submerged in water. One person was trapped inside, fire officials said.

Firefighters quickly began a rescue and extricated the person within 10 minutes, according to the news release. The patient had minor injuries and showed signs of hypothermia from exposure to the cold water and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
