Elgin Police Investigating After Gunshots Hit Parked Car
Police said a male got out of a dark colored car being driven in the area of Crystal and Ball, and shot at another male who was running.
ELGIN, IL — The Elgin Police Department Special Investigations Group is investigating after gunshots were reported Friday night in the area of Crystal Street and Ball Street. According to a release from the police department, Elgin officers were called to that area at 9:45 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
According to preliminary information, a male got out of a dark colored car being driven in the area, and shot at another male who was running.
A person who wasn't involved in the incident was tending to a disabled car when his car was hit with gunfire, even though the car wasn't an intended target, according to police.

No injures were reported, according to the release.
