Police Search For 2 People After Man Robbed In Elgin

According to police, one of the two robbers took out what looked like a knife and demanded the man's belongings during the incident.

ELGIN, IL β€” The Elgin Police Department said detectives are investigating after officers were called to the area of Riverside Drive and Prairie Street at 9 p.m. Monday for a reported robbery. According to the police department, a man was walking in the area when two people came up to him and demanded he hand over his personal belongings.

The robbers are described as a white male with a medium build, and a tear drop tattoo on his face, and a black male with a medium build, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. According to police, one of the robbers took out what looked like a knife and demanded the man's belongings. Once the victim gave them some of his belongings, the two robbers ran off, police added.

No injuries were reported.
