​YWCA Elgin seeks 2025 Leader Luncheon Award nominees

Do you know an exceptional woman making a difference in the Elgin community?

The YWCA Elgin is now accepting nominations for the 2025 YWCA Elgin Leader Luncheon Awards. Since 1984, this prestigious event has recognized outstanding women for their leadership, service, and dedication in areas like Arts, Business, Education, Public Service, and more.

The YWCA Elgin will host its 41st Annual Leader Luncheon with Title Sponsor, the Schrieber Group, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, at The Seville in Streamwood.

Individuals, clubs, businesses, and organizations are invited to nominate deserving women for this prestigious award. Individuals who have been nominated in past years may be re-nominated. Nominees must identify as female and live, work, or volunteer in Elgin. Recipients will be awarded at the luncheon.

The community is invited to nominate and honor women from the Elgin area who have made significant contributions in the following categories:

• Margaret Hillis Award for the Arts
• Beatrice Dorsey Award for Business and Professions
• Marguerite Henry Award for Communications & Technology
• Harriet Gifford & Hattie Griffin Award for Education
• Betty Brown Award for Racial Justice
• Myrtle Spiegler Award for Public Service
• Marjorie Leonard Award for Volunteer & Community Service

A ‘new and improved’ updated nomination form is available online to make the process easier and more accessible. Please review the new guidelines and submit a compelling nomination for a deserving woman in the greater Elgin area community. Deadline for submitting a nomination is 11:59pm on March 6, 2025.
