Elmhurst, IL - It usually isn’t polite to talk about how much money people make, but for politicians and government employees, that information is a matter of public record.

Knowing is a little easier thanks to the Better Government Association, which compiled a list of 2014 salaries for government employees throughout Illinois.

Elmhurst’s 2014 budget was $142,892,168, according to city documents. The city spent $28,187,665 of all funds on salaries and wages and $14,359,000 on employee benefits.
