VILLA PARK, IL – Shots were fired this week in a Villa Park neighborhood, authorities said. The shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday at Third Avenue and Elm Street, Villa Park police said in a news release. Police said no one was injured, but officers found property damage consistent with the incident. The shooting is considered isolated, with no known threat to the public. Police said they will have an increased presence in the area as the investigation continues. Anyone with information about the incident, including having relevant video footage, is urged to contact detectives at 630-834-7447.
