The 20-year-old special needs woman refused to go along and alerted authorities, prosecutors said.

BENSENVILLE, IL – A man was arrested this week after he tried to kidnap a special needs woman who works at the Jewel store in Bensenville, authorities said.
Andrade Pino, 53, who lives on Medinah Street in Bensenville, faces felony charges of attempted kidnapping, aggravated battery in a public place and unlawful restraint, police said.
About 7:30 p.m. Monday, the 20-year-old special needs woman was collecting shopping carts from the parking lot when Pino approached her, according to a news release from DuPage County prosecutors.

Pino returned the next morning to Jewel, prompting staff to call the police, authorities said. He was arrested.
A DuPage County judge ordered Pino to stay in jail until his trial.
"I commend the victim in this case for having the courage to refuse Mr. Andrade Pino's orders and for alerting the proper authorities," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.
