101 Flags to Honor York's Fallen Veterans

The flags will be displayed from Nov. 6 to 11.

Each year on Veterans Day, York High School’s Military History Club members and Jerry Christopherson, who serves District 205 as the York building manager, displays 101 American flags along the driveway leading to the school.

The flags commemorate former York students who have died in service to their country – ranging from World War II to the current “War on Terror.” Each flag is tagged with the serviceman’s name and military conflict.
