Adoptable Pet of the Week: Velma!

Velma, the Doberman/hound mix, is looking for her forever home.

Information provided by Elmhurst Animal Care Center.

This is Velma, a Doberman/Hound mix born on July 1. That's right, she's only about 12 weeks old.

Her mom, a dobi, has been a stray for more than two years, and Safely Home Canine Rescue has been trying to catch her so she will stop having puppies. She finally found a family she trusts, and they contacted Safely Home Canine Rescue to help find homes for Velma and all her siblings. They were rescued from Southern Illinois.

They are active puppies—pooping, eating, whining, barking, begging and playing little puppies. Because Velma is a puppy, she will need some help housebreaking, training, walking on a  leash, all those cute puppy things. Because she is so young, she has more vets visits to complete, so her new home needs to be within an hour of the Joliet area.

Don't you just love her?
