Airborne Eighth-grade Girls Close Out Big Season with Championship Title
Girls score two Schaumburg Shootout championships 19-0 regular season record and championship title.

Elmhurst Airborne Girls Eighth-grade Green Team recently completed a very successful season.
The girls committed to playing an aggressive defense and an up-tempo style offense, and began the season with several weeks of practice, building team chemistry and preparing for the season ahead. Their dedication paid dividends throughout the season.
The team picked up two prestigous Schaumburg Shootout Tournament Championships this season. They also swept through the fiercely competitive West Suburban Girls Conference with a 19-0 regular season record. The final highlight was winning the conference tournament, where the team overcame a 10 point deficit in the championship game, eventually beating rival Glen Ellyn Titans by a final score of 51-40.

The team displayed excellent sportsmanship and composure, and received many compliments from opposing coaches for maintaining these attributes throughout the season.
Elmhurst Airborne Girls Eighth-grade Green Team members are Claire Cahill, Jenna Dvorak, Rachel Maher, Caitlin Ostojic, Kati Potaczek, Jackie Saco, Genna Saia, Rayanne Shockey, Erin Strauss and Mia Varzino. The team was coached by Scott Bonthron, Nick Ostojic and Bob Strauss.
