Bensenville Park District Holds Off On $20M Referendum
The district's board said it needs more information on its financial needs

BENSENVILLE, IL — The Bensenville Park District board voted on Wednesday to indefinitely hold off on approving a $20 million bond referendum for improvements to the White Pines Golf Club.
The board voted at its previous meeting to table the motion to gather more information and to allow one of its members to participate in the discussions.
The district’s executive director, Joe Vallez, said the board decided to indefinitely table the referendum since it wanted more information on the financial needs of the district.

Vallez said it would take a while for the district to collect that information, saying it would last into the new year.
This comes as the Bensenville Park District is being investigated by police for alleged theft occurring within the organization.
