Bond Set for Elmhurst Gas Station Clerk, Boyfriend
Simone Boyd and Brandon Morris each face felony theft charges.

Bond was set at $10,000 for the clerk of an Elmhurst gas station who has been charged with felony theft after police thought she went missing following a robbery early Tuesday morning.
Simone Boyd, age 21 of Lombard, was presumed missing Sept. 22 after Elmhurst police were called at 5 a.m. to 654 West North Avenue to check on her, according to Elmhurst police.
Boyd and her boyfriend, Brandon Morris, age 21 of Lombard, were found, along with money from the gas station, and they are accused of staging a robbery and abduction.

Morris is charged with felony theft and attempted robbery, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, and the bond for each of his charges was set at $10,000.
Security video from the gas station showed a man jumped over the counter and took cash, according to detectives, leading officers to arrest Boyd and Morris.
