Boys with Guns Seen Walking in Wooded Area in Elmhurst

The boys quickly realized their mistake, police reported.

Elmhurst, IL - Witnesses who spotted people with guns walking in a wooded area around 3:26 p.m. March 6 near the Prairie Path and Eisenhower Expressway called police to investigate.

Officers found the juvenile boys, who "quickly realized it was a mistake to be walking in public with air rifles," according to Elmhurst police.

The boys were released to their parents with peer jury recommendations.
