Bullet Found at Lincoln Elementary School, Police Investigate
A soft lockdown has been lifted, and police don't believe there is any danger at the school.

Elmhurst, IL - A small-caliber bullet was found Thursday in a bathroom at Lincoln Elementary School, 565 S. Fairfield Ave. in Elmhurst.
The school was under a "soft lockdown" while Elmhurst police investigated, according to the City of Elmhurst.
During the soft lockdown, classroom instruction continued as normal but movement through the building was restricted.

The soft lockdown was lifted at 10:32 a.m., after the investigation determined the bullet was originally found on the outdoor playground. Authorities believe there is no danger to anyone at the school.
Elmhurst police will stay at the school through dismissal to reassure parents and students, the city reported. Evidence technicians will continue to use metal detectors to make sure all evidence has been found and the playground and school are safe.
