“Keeping residents informed with the City’s stormwater management efforts was the key reason this site was created. Our goal is to share information with the community on all past, present and future projects relative to stormwater mitigation,” states the City’s Mayor, Steve Morley.

Another predominant feature of the new site includes quick access to the City’s stormwater policies and resources as well as an easy way to connect with City Staff Members to report flooding or request more information on specific residential issues.

City Manager, Jim Grabowski states, “ Stormwater Management projects have been the focus of many City Staff members with the overarching goal of alleviating stormwater issues and providing tools to residents in need. The new site will easily connect residents with the proper tools available to them from the City.”

The proper resources are imperative to residents who experience stormwater issues in their home. The City’s new site includes homeowner resources to identify the different types of flooding and information on home protection against flooding.

“The City’s Public Works Committee has been focused on Stormwater Management issues for years and has heard first hand from residents affected by these issues. This website is one of the key communication methods that will help residents identify their source of flooding and how to properly address these flooding issues,” states Jim Kennedy, 4th Ward Alderman and Chair of the Public Works Committee.
