Tula Monachos

Tula Monachos (nee Tsicouris) of Elmhurst, has died. Mrs. Monachos was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her children, Leon and Michael, her six grandchildren and her great-grandson.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the funeral home.

Jean Soderman

Jean L. Soderman (nee Hills), 89, of Elmhurst, died July 29. Mrs. Soderman was preceded in death by her husband, William. She is survived by her children, Sharon and Linda, her four grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren.

A brief visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst. Interment is at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.

Carolyn Bilyea

Carolyn Olive Dornoff Bilyea, 83, died peacefully at her home in Houston June 28. She was a graduate of York Community High School in Elmhurst.

She is survived by her children, Kathryn, Cynthia and Richard, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in Fort Worth, Texas.

John Verisario

John William Verisario, 88, died July 16 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Nyla; his children, J.D. Laura Sack, Dr. William Sack and Dr. Elizabeth Sack Barczynski; and his four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, in Elmhurst.
