Death Probe Underway After Body Of Woman Killed In Elmhurst Found: Police

LAKE COUNTY, IL — An investigation is underway after a woman's body was found in Lake County Sunday evening.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office received a call from Elmhurst Police Department detectives at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday regarding an investigation that led them to the 13400 block of West Adams Road in Wadsworth, Christopher Covelli, deputy chief with the sheriff's office, told Patch on Tuesday. A woman was found dead at the scene, he said.

As part of the Elmhurst Police Department's ongoing investigation, detectives determined the woman had been killed in Elmhurst, Covelli said. The sheriff's office provided an evidence technician at the scene to assist.

Elmhurst police are heading the investigation, and Patch has reached out to their office for additional information. Patch has also reached out to the coroner's office for more information.
