Don't Live In Elmhurst? School Board Takes Action
The board has adopted resolutions on the residency of five students in recent weeks.

ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst school board adopted resolutions this month on the residency of five students, stating that they have not lived in the district since the start of the school year.
The board did not release the resolutions or provide any further information about their impact.
In response to Patch's inquiry, Elmhurst District 205's spokesperson, Tonya Daniels, shed some light on the process.

"The specific timeline and details of each transition vary depending on individual circumstances, but our goal is always to handle these situations with sensitivity and to minimize impact on the students' education," Daniels said in an email.
School districts have ways to find out whether students live in their jurisdictions. Some send mailers to every student's house and look into those that get returned.
