Driver Found with Loaded Pistol and Heroin Resisted Arrest: Police

The driver was also found to have heroin and counterfeit money, police reported.

Elmhurst, IL - Elmhurst police pulled over a driver around 12:21 a.m. Feb. 8 for speeding and following too closely at North and Maple.

Police reported the driver, Chyreese D. Walker, 23 of the 900 block of W. North Avenue in Villa Park, battered a police officer, fled on foot and resisted arrest.

He was found to be in possession of a loaded pistol, heroin and counterfeit money, according to Elmhurst police.

Walker was charged with state misdemeanor charges of speeding, following too closely, obstructing, resisting, battery and two felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance, police reported.
