Driver Yells Profanities At York High Staff: Cops
In another case, the discovery of bones prompts a call to the police department.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a reckless driver yelling profanities, the discovery of bones, a stolen car, threats to a business and domestic battery. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Yelling profanities
- A person was seen driving recklessly about 3 p.m. Sept. 19 in the York High School parking lot, yelling profanities at staff. He was served with a no-trespass notice.
Bones found

- A woman found two bones while digging in her yard Monday in the 700 block of North Adele Street. The coroner's office reported the bones were not from a human. The bones were placed into evidence.
Stolen car
- John Z. Kammrad, 20, of Elgin, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing and eluding an officer, disobeying a traffic light, not driving on the right side of the road, improper lighting and failure to signal when required. About 2 a.m. April 8, officers spotted a stolen car, with the two suspects stopping at Interstate 290 and York Street and running away, police said. A gun was found in the car. The other suspect, a 20-year-old Elgin man, was caught at the time and found to have a controlled substance. He was released pending lab results. Last Wednesday, he turned himself in on an Elmhurst warrant charging possession of a controlled substance.
Threats to business

- An employee at Elmhurst Animal Care, 805 S. Riverside Drive, told police Monday that a man called and threatened her after she denied a prescription order for his animal. The man refused to speak with an officer. He was served with a no-trespass notice.
Threats
- A resident in the 200 block of South Monterey Avenue told police Monday that she had received threats for a couple of days from a stranger. An investigation is pending.
Battery
- A nurse at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, told police that a patient struck her about 9 p.m. Monday. An investigation is pending.
Domestic battery
- A woman told police that her boyfriend choked and scratched her about 10 p.m. Tuesday at Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive. Officers were unable to find the man, who had left before they arrived. An investigation is pending.
