Drunk Woman On Ground In Elmhurst: Cops
In another case, a drunk man was found drinking late at night in front of a business, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving drunk people, fraudulent returns at a store, soliciting without a permit, obstructing an officer, DUI, sleeping in a restroom, retail theft, a domestic disturbance and a canine search. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Drunk
- Medics and officers responded about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of North Avenue to a woman lying on the ground. Her friend told officers that the woman had been drinking. The woman's boyfriend arrived. After medics evaluated her, the woman signed a form refusing treatment. She was released.
- A 68-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 400 block of Argyle Avenue was found drinking in the parking lot about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elmhurst Photo Boutique, 535 S. Spring Road. Medics evaluated him because of signs of drunkenness. He refused treatment. He was cited on a charge of possession of liquor in public. He was taken to his home, which was two blocks away.
Fraudulent returns

- Bianca S. Williams Hill, 35, of Chicago, was arrested on one count of burglary and two counts of retail theft. Police said she and another person were accused of making fraudulent merchandise returns about 8 p.m. April 9 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. She was arrested six days later and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Soliciting without a permit
- A 35-year-old Willowbrook man was cited about 7 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on a charge of soliciting without a permit.

- A 29-year-old Glendale Heights man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at North and Addison avenues on charges of obstructing an officer, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic light, improper tinting and having an obstructed windshield. Police said the man tried to run away while he was undergoing sobriety tests. He was later released.
DUI
- A 44-year-old Lyons woman was arrested about 5 a.m. Wednesday at Route 83 and Riverside Drive on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. She was taken to the police station and then released.
Sleeping
- A person was sleeping in the restroom about 9 a.m. Monday at Jewel, 944 S. York St. The person was given a no-trespass notice.
Retail theft
- Suspects stole alcohol and diapers about 2:30 p.m. Monday at Mariano's, 678 N. York St. An investigation is pending.
Theft
- A laptop was stolen between April 11 and April 14 at Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave.
Domestic disturbance
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 6 p.m. Monday at Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave. The parties agreed to separate for the night.
Canine search
- An officer assisted with a routine canine search about 11 a.m. Tuesday at Timothy Christian High School, 1061 S. Prospect Ave. No issues were found.
