Elmhurst Bar Patron Steals From Another: Police
In another case, an Uber Eats driver was bitten by a customer's dog in a local neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a bar incident, a bitten Uber Eats driver, damage, trespassing, a fugitive driver, a shattered window, graffiti and porch piracy. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Bar incident
- A 23-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 200 block of North Clinton Avenue was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Doc's Victory Pub, 490 S. Spring Road, on charges of criminal property damage and theft. Police said the man stole another person's phone at the bar. The phone was recovered, but it was damaged. He was released.
Uber Eats driver bitten

- An Uber Eats driver told police that a medium-sized brown dog got out of a customer's house and bit her in the right arm and left leg shortly before noon Wednesday near Hawthorne and McKinley avenues.
Damage
- A 17-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of South Spring Road was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Monday at his house on a criminal property damage charge. He was released.
Trespassing

- A 68-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested about 11 a.m. Monday at Amigas Restaurant, 671 W. North Ave., on a trespassing charge. Police said the man came into the restaurant and asked other customers for money. The man was served a no-trespass notice for the building, but later returned to the Goodwill Store, which shares a wall with Amigas. He was released.
Fugitive driver
- An officer stopped the driver of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee about 1 a.m. Monday at Roosevelt Road and Route 83. The driver did not have an identification and gave a false name and date of birth. The officer asked the driver to get out, but he sped away, last seen heading east on Roosevelt. An investigation is pending. The man was described as black, bald, having a beard and tattoo on his left cheekbone, and wearing a white hoodie.
Window shattered
- The back passenger window of a car was shattered about 10 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Kenilworth Avenue. Officers found a landscaping company had just left the area, possibly causing the damage.
Graffiti
- Graffiti was reported in a restroom Monday at York HIgh School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.
Found in rental car
- On Tuesday, an employee of Enterprise Leasing, 896 N. York St., reported finding a Kimber 9mm magazine under the driver's seat while cleaning a recently returned rental car. The magazine was placed into evidence for destruction.
Porch piracy
- Two packages were stolen between 11 a.m. and 1 a.m. Wednesday from a front porch in the 300 block of North Oaklawn Avenue. An investigation is pending.
Bike found
- An abandoned blue and black Diamondback Nitrus 20-inch boys BMX bicycle was found about 7 a.m. Monday at Fairview Avenue and Prairie Path. The bike was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
